Emilie Autumn Inspired Look

So, I made a makeup and clothes look inspired by the wonderful Miss Emilie Autumn. In case you don't know, Emilie Autumn is a Violindustrial artist who is best known for her album Opheliac, however she also has other albums (Enchant and Fight Like A Girl). She is known for her dressing style, with red/pink hair and outfits, a doll-like makeup look and a gothic/victorian aesthetic. She has bipolar disorder and published a book including accounts of her own stay at a mental hospital and accounts of a fictional Victorian girl called Emilie's, The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls.

Pictured above are some of Emilie's looks throughout the years.

Here are my takes on her look. They aren't ~great~ but I had limited time and resources to make the look with, so I tried my best!

The Vote

First post woot! I had a massive post with reviews of the MSW shop and the Vote and Nelly and blah blah blah lined up and half written but I honestly don't see the point in posting it now because it's so belated. So I'm not.

The Vote, guise! Some love it, some hate it and some ultimately don't give a shit, but one thing we can all agree on is that hardly any winners follow the themes. I mean, I hate to be that person and I'm sure ya'll fed up hearing about this already, but what was the point of getting rid of Catwalk for the Vote when the Vote is now essentially Catwalk with added obnoxious filters. It's like our medolls have an instagram, ya'll. And while the winner of yesterdays contest (Steam Punk) was certainly pretty, none of the dolls in the top section seemed to be steampunk. So themes are pointless if Stardoll/its users (spreading the blame ya'll) don't give a fuck about them. I would like to see someone risque though, I mean, add a bit of fun to this here game.

So we're now voting on Red Carpet, ya'll! And I assume we're all going to the Starplaza to style for our next theme....Bonjour Bizou. I mean, wow. How creative. I'm pretty sure we've had it before? Either way I'm willing to count how many of the winners have not a single Bonjour Bizou item in their outfits. I bet there'll be at least 3.

So, here's for the first post! Leave a comment if you wish, and I'll be back soon with some makeup tutorials and the like.
